Nick and Jamie met in 2005, and were married on July 25, 2009. We live in Spokane, Washington and love it here. However, our families live a little further away - Nick's family in Central Washington, and Jamie's family in Wisconsin (Go Badgers). We finally decided to create a blog so everyone can see a little of what we're always up to.

California Vacation

We've been wanting a theme park trip for a while now, and it finally came and went. It was a short trip, but we managed to do a lot. Nick's childhood neighbor and friend Gareth joined us with his girlfriend Sheliya. We all had a blast together! Keep scrolling down to check out all the pictures below:

This is the beautiful church that was next to our first hotel in Burbank.

Nokia Plaza was thiiisss big!

Staples Center baby!

Erwin "Magic" Johnson.... and Nick!

Nick chilling with Jerry West

Jamie with "The Great One" Wayne Gretzky

Watch out Oscar De La Hoya

Segway Tour of LA - Best experience ever! We spent 3 hours on them touring downtown. Too bad Nick really wants to buy one now!

Segways at Walt Disney Concert Hall

This was the best idea ever. We didn't want to get off the Segways!

Nokia Plaza at night - So beautiful

A fun day at Universal Studios - We did the studio tour, rides, and a few shows including WaterWorld, where the boys made us sit in the "You Will Get Soaked Seats". That was an understatement! Yes, they dumped buckets of water on us and shot Sheliya with a powerful water gun. Somehow we didn't get any pictures of us soaking wet. Here are some other photos though:

Sheliya dancing with the goofy cop. It was hilarious!

Jamie... Watch out for Jaws!

Yep, this Jaws will get you wet!

Famous street filmed in many movies. The most memorable one to me was Bruce Almighty. Remember Jim Carrey having to carry his dog down the porch stairs?

Our tram heading into King Kong 3D

The Whoville set - so magical

Nick and Jamie getting ready to skydive!!! Indoor skydiving that is.

Gareth and Sheliya looking good in their skydiving suits!

Nick skydiving at iFly - We all had a blast doing this!

We also have a video with all four of us on it. It's hilarious!
Watch the video at the bottom of this post.

We had dinner at Samba - the best Brazilian restaurant ever! All you can eat meats (pork, steak, chicken) cooked on skewers over open flames... with the Brazilian flavors.

Sexy samba girls danced for our entertainment! Woohoo....

She tried to pick Nick to dance with her. He was too shy (go figure)!
Gareth jumped right in!

Shake those hips Gareth!

Gareth and Nerds... Hmmm...

This was the biggest candy store I ever saw

Gareth & Sheliya in line for our first ride at Six Flags Magic Mountain

Jamie and Nick in line at Six Flags Magic Mountain

We spent a day and a half on rides at Six Flags. They have the most roller coasters, and a great variety of them! Some rides you are standing up, some you are laying down, and others you are sitting dangling from the tracks above. We were in heaven running from ride to ride. Then we spent a half day at the Hurricane Harbor water park. Sorry folks... no pictures of us in swim suits. Hahaa. We had a great trip. A big thanks goes out to Gareth and Sheliya for meeting up with us!

Click on the video below to play and view our indoor skydiving experience. The order of our group is Gareth, Sheliya, Jamie, then Nick. Same order for the second round. You'll get a kick out of Jamie trying to walk out when she was stood up in the wind tunnel. If you pick your foot up, it might just get blown up to your head. HA!

It's clear to see that we all had fun. However, some of the funniest memories will be things not caught on camera. I'll never forget racing out of the Haunted House (with live actors), 10,000 feet of escalators, getting soaked on water rides/shows, waiting at the gates before the parks opened - then racing in, crazy season pass photos, people getting sick, and crazy taxi drivers (the good, the bad, & the ugly). Advice to anyone who cares: Never get in a cab with a female driver! Also, the taxi drivers working graveyard have funny stories to tell.
